Wake, funeral arrangements made for fallen Detective Brian Simonsen
The NYPD is mourning one of its own, remembering fallen Detective Brian Simonsen, killed in the line of duty Tuesday night.
Police released details on Simonsen's funeral arrangements Thursday.
Wake services will be held next Monday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Church of Saint Rosalie in Hampton Bays, as well as on Tuesday during the afternoon and evening.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 10 a.m.
That service will also be held at the Church of Saint Rosalie.
The suspect in this case, 27-year-old Christopher Ransom, of Brooklyn, has since been charged with second-degree murder, robbery, assault, aggravated manslaughter and menacing.
