A captain of the West Babylon Volunteer Fire Department is out on bail after pleading not guilty to charges he raped a 16-year-old girl.

Michael Annunziata, who is also a New York City firefighter, is accused of having sex with the girl in a private West Babylon home in June. Investigators are not releasing any information about the victim or how she met the 31-year-old firefighter.

Annunziata, a West Babylon fire department volunteer for 15 years, has been suspended from both that department and the FDNY.

Annunziata was arrested on the charge Wednesday and is out on $25,000 cash bail.
