A vote on whether to build a mini-casino at the Islandia Marriott Hotel has been postponed.
The Islandia Village Board was scheduled to vote on the casino's permit on Tuesday.
However, the village's website now says the meeting has been canceled.
The reason for the cancellation is not clear, and it is unknown when the vote will take place.
As News 12 has reported, the plan would bring a thousand video slot machines and a racing simulcast facility to the hotel. A public hearing was held on the proposal last week.
