Family and friends of a young woman who was found dead in a Huntington Station nature preserve held a vigil in her honor Friday night.

Authorities say the body of Sarah Strobel, 23, was discovered Thursday morning in the Froehlich Farm Nature Preserve. They are unsure how Strobel died or how long her body had been in the woods.

Loved ones gathered at St. Peter's Church to remember the woman they say enjoyed music, the great outdoors and Fruity Pebbles cereal. Friends say she was studying to be a massage therapist.

Detectives say her death is suspicious and that the homicide squad is investigation. Anyone with information on Strobel's death is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
