In these challenging times, a video of a young Long island boy has become a symbol of hope for the nation.

Jace McKenzie was overjoyed when he saw police officers come down his block in Greenport for his socially distant sixth birthday last weekend.

Jace was decked out in a police officer uniform and was happy to see the officers from the Southold Police Department.

The police chief says his officers gave Jace a badge and told him they'll be waiting for him when he's ready to become a police officer.

The video has since gone viral and was also shown as part of Friday's press briefing at the White House.
