Dozens of Hempstead residents had to deal with flat tires Saturday that also flattened their wallets.
Many residents awoke to find their car tires slashed. Police believe the incidents occurred sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. Residents were upset by the vandalism and the cost of repairing their vehicles. Some were forced to take taxis to their destination.
Police say the vandalism happened on three different blocks in the village. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hempstead Police Department at 516-483-6263.
