Valley Stream School District to operate on lockout protocols due to shooting threats

Officials say the threats were made against North High School and Memorial Junior High.

The Valley Stream School District is on alert this morning after a pair of shooting threats.
Officials say the threats were made against North High School and Memorial Junior High.
The district says both schools are open today.
In a statement, a district representative adds, "In an abundance of precaution, we will operate all of our schools under lockout protocols, which include increased security measures and permitting only students and district personnel in our buildings."
