Valley Stream first responder honored after losing life to COVID-19

A special ceremony was held Saturday in Valley Stream to honor a first responder who died of COVID-19.

A special ceremony was held Saturday in Valley Stream to honor a first responder who died of COVID-19.
Michael Field passed away after contracting the virus as an EMT for the Valley Stream Fire Department.
Friends, family and local officials gathered to rename the bridge over the Southern State Parkway at Exit 15 after Field.
Field was a member of the fire department since 1987 and responded to Ground Zero on 9/11.
