Forty sailors from the United States Naval Academy in Maryland docked at Oyster Bay Friday after a four-day journey up the coast.
"I'm from Wyoming, so I never saw a sailboat until I went to the Naval Academy," says McKenna Powers. "I think we picked it up pretty fast."
The sailors are from the U.S. Naval Academy's Offshore Sail Training Squadron. This is second year they have come to the North Shore to show off their skills.
They are being hosted by the Oakcliff Sailing Center, which trains future Olympians and athletes for the America's Cup.
Anyone who wishes to check out their sailboats can head to the Oyster Bay Marine Center throughout the weekend.
