A Nassau County business says a UPS worker was caught on camera mishandling a box of expensive equipment.
Ray Martell, of East Hills Instruments, says a UPS worker delivered the box containing a nitrogen calibration system Monday. It required a cash payment that Martell wasn't authorized to pay.
Martell says the worker was not "overly excited" about taking the package back. Surveillance cameras caught the worker kicking the fragile piece of equipment out the front door of the office and rolling it to his truck.
In a statement to News 12, the company said, "UPS does not condone this specific driver's behavior. We are investigating this issue and will take corrective action with this driver. We have also apologized to the customer."
It was not immediately clear what damage, if any, the worker caused to the equipment.
