Police are trying to figure out how a car ended up in the Great South Bay in Bay Shore.
It happened around 7 a.m. Sunday. Officials say the car somehow drove across the sand and straight into the water off of the Bay Shore Marina.
News 12 is told that when crews pulled the car out, no one was inside.
It's not clear if anyone was hurt. Further details weren't immediately available.
