Three people are hurt after an accident involving an unmarked police car in Soundview. 

The two-car crash happened at Story and Rosedale avenues at around 1 p.m. 

Two officers and another person were taken by ambulance to Jacobi Medical Center. 

They are said to be in serious, but stable condition.

Hey, Phil. Yep. It's gonna get stormy. It's gonna be wet and windy and a wild second half of the weekend. That's for sure. If you're headed to the Jets game, it looks good to start. And then about a half time, things will get pretty nasty. And on your way home, give yourself extra time, that's for sure. As for tonight, temperatures throughout the air feeling mild. We're in the mid forties, it's quiet, some patchy fog around mostly cloudy. Nothing going on for the overnight hours tonight or into your Sunday morning. We're looking good. However, those winds will start to pick up in the morning hours and they'll only increase. Let's move ahead on the futurecast here. We have some scattered showers developing with a little bit of heavier pockets throughout the area developing late morning and then more steady rain comes in the afternoon around 230 here and the winds pick up again. These are wind gusts 33 MPH park slope 26 and throgs neck 26 MPH and then that will increase as we step into the overnight hours, we'll have more moderate and heavier pockets of rainfall. Moving through. So we do have a flood watch throughout areas below us. And as we start to wrap things up for your Monday morning, the winds do stick around so the rain will clear out, the winds will stick around and they're gonna bring in cooler temperatures for your Monday. So Monday will be quite blustery. If you're headed to the Giants game Monday night, it's gonna be chilly. You definitely want to bundle up and then we're looking at temperatures in the forties for the rest of the work week and we're not looking at any rainfall after that.

Time. Now for a look at your forecast with meteorologist Joe Martucci. Joe, what's going on? You know, Sunday night will be a good night to hang out with some wine. Stay inside here. We'll take a look at your travel timeline for Sunday into Monday. So Sunday from midday into the evening here, it's often on rain and it's gusty, the worst of it is going to be overnight from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. and then as we go from two AM to 10 a.m. on Monday, it's rain still blustering. There will be a little bit of snow to talk about as well. I'll show you where in just a minute, here's a look at our satellite and radar this evening across Western Connecticut. Just some clouds around. That's all. But you look to our west and you see this line of rain extending from Toronto all the way down into Mississippi. We've had some tornadoes in the mid south throughout the day here today, from a cold front that will eventually push east and B hours. We'll take a look at our overnight low temperatures generally in the low to mid forties everywhere here with patchy areas of fog, we'll get you to your future cast. So Sunday morning again, dry until about 11 o'clock or so. Then we see some scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder moving through the area. This rain will get heavier as we go into the night. Here, you see a lot of these oranges and yellows as we go into your overnight hours. Eventually pushing east. Here comes a little bit of snow you just saw going through Litchfield County could see a few snow showers that could add up to an inch or two, but that would be about all and that would be on colder and grassy surfaces. We are looking for anywhere between an inch and a half to three inches of rain from this gusts are going to be high as well and we'll get you to your 10 day forecast here. It's pretty dry after we get past Monday.

Now, I recommend uh, everyone pretty much stays home and hunker down for tomorrow, starting in the afternoon through tomorrow night, stay home, do some online Christmas shopping. That's your best bet. It's gonna get pretty nasty for tomorrow night. As for tonight, temperature is not so bad. It's mostly cloudy. Some patchy fog out there. The south winds around 10 MPH, they're really gonna pick up as we step into tomorrow afternoon. So let's look at it on the future cast. Here we are tomorrow morning around 7 a.m. We're stuck in the clouds. Winds are not so bad. So if you need to get something done, I would recommend getting out sooner than later. Around 10 a.m. Scattered showers and a few pockets of heavier downpours start to move in those winds ramp up. And as we step into the afternoon, you can see the heavier downpours in the shades of orange, yellow and red. So we do have the rain thickening up and giving us heavy downpours throughout the area and the winds as well. The wind gusts 27 MPH in Yonkers by tomorrow evening and into the overnight hours. So we'll have winds between 1530 MPH. Gusting up to 35 even 40 MPH, especially by Yonkers and White Plas places closer to the coast as we look towards your Monday morning, things will start to taper off. We do have some wraparound showers. The winds are going to stay with us though, not gusting up to 40 MPH, but will be about 15 to 25 MPH. And then we have northwest winds behind everything. So for your Sunday, it's gonna be mild, rainy, windy and then we'll clear things out for the second half of Monday. It's gonna stay blustery and temperatures drop off, especially Monday night. So both the Jets game for tomorrow should be interesting. And for your Monday night football, the Giants game should be a blustery and chilly one as well. Looking ahead here are those, uh, wind gusts and here are what we can expect as far as rain totals anywhere from 1 to 3 inches throughout the area. Here's your 10 day forecast. We do dry things out December chill stays with us through next week and we're not really expecting any rainfall in the upcoming week as well.

Yes, we are looking good for tonight and for tomorrow morning and then things will turn for the worse. It will happen pretty quickly as we step into the late hours of morning, it will start out. But as for tonight, some patchy fog around south winds, not, not a big deal. And as we look into satellite and radar outside again, we're nice quiet right now. But as you look just west of our area, we do have some stormy conditions that will be making its way into our area. By tomorrow. Late morning, it will start out scattered in nature, some heavier downpours in some places and then those winds start to ramp up as we step into the afternoon. The Jet game tomorrow should really be an interesting one. It will get wet and wild out there with the winds and the rainy weather. If you are headed to the Jets game, the ride home, give yourself plenty of time. No rush on the way home. And here are your wind gusts for tomorrow, late afternoon. We're already up to about 40 MPH in some places. So you definitely want to stay home the worst. Of it will be overnight for your Sunday into your early Monday. That will be the heaviest downpours and the worst of the winds and eventually it'll be tapering off pre dawn and just around 7 a.m. for tomorrow before blustery conditions make their way into our area. As we look at our extended forecast, we'll dry things out for the second half of Monday.

It's going to be good as we go into your Sunday to make sure you charge up your devices as we go into the evening, just in case we do get into a power outage here. If you have a generator, make sure that's ready to go as well. Here's a look at our Sunday storm notes. So we have downpours here, especially during the evening hours into the overnight gusts will be strongest overnight as well, 30 to 50 miles an hour. But if you see a thunderstorm, wind gusts could be higher than that. And in terms of rain, 1.5 to 3 inches of rain is expected with this. We look at our temperatures right now on our Saturday evening, around 50 degrees everywhere. Here it is quite mild actually out we are at 53 in Elizabeth, 53 in cold snack, 52 down in Asbury Park on the boardwalk here overnight, lows going to be above average forties for much of the state thirties north and west of interstate 287. Some fog will be around. We go into your Sunday here, dry during the morning. So if you want to do anything in the morning outside, you're fine. Then as we get towards mid, these showers come through, they will get heavier and steadier as we go into the afternoon and into the evening. And you see a lot of these bright oranges and reds as we go into our Sunday night here, that is where we could see some thunderstorms. That's where we could see wind gusts, 6065 miles an hour that could create some power outages or wind damage. As we go forward in time. This will get out of here early Monday morning. Little bit of snow possible. Northwest corner of the state during the early part of the morning commute. But otherwise we're dry as we go into your Monday here, rainfall totals won't be that much during the day. But then as we go overnight, we add about another 1 to 2 inches and you end up 1.5 to 3. Here's a look at your wind gusts as you go forward into Sunday night. Again, those gusts 35 to 50 with locally higher gusts. Your 10 day forecast looks like this. We are in a storm watch as we go into your Sunday night to early Monday. Otherwise we're dry for the rest of the week with the exception of possibly a few flurries on Wednesday after the break.
