In what is already being called one of the biggest upsets of all-time, the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots 17-14 Sunday to win Super Bowl XLII.
Plaxico Burress caught a 13-yard pass from Eli Manning with 35 seconds remaining to clinch the win for the underdog Giants. The previously undefeated Patriots tried in vain to snatch the win away on their final drive, but came up unsuccessful.
Quarterback Eli Manning, whose brother Peyton led the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl win last season, was named Most Valuable Player. Manning led his team on an 83-yard drive leading up to the winning touchdown.
The winning touchdown immediately followed a touchdown by Randy Moss that gave the Patriots a 14-10 lead.
"It's the greatest feeling in professional sports," said Burress, who burst into tears following the tremendous win.
