Police search for man accused of attacking two women at Soundview subway station

Investigators say the suspect approached two 46year-old women on Jan. 31and struck them both with a cellphone at around 1:40 p.m. on the Elder Avenue subway station.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man accused of attacking two women at the Elder Avenue subway station in Soundview.

The NYPD says it happened just before 1:40 p.m. Saturday as two 46-year-old women were getting off a northbound 6 train at the Elder Avenue subway station. Investigators say the suspect approached the women and struck them with a cellphone.

Both victims were treated by first responders at the scene for minor injuries.

Police ask anyone who has information to call the Crime Stoppers hotline.
