Body found under truck in Spring Valley identified as adult man

The body discovered in Spring Valley early Saturday morning was identified as a man believed to be between 27 and 34 years old, according to police.
Officials say they received a report of a body beneath a parked truck on nearby Park Avenue at 7:15 a.m. that morning.
Police say there is no indication the parked truck was involved and the incident did not occur immediately before the discovery of the body.
Ramapo Police, the Rockland District Attorney's Office, Spring Valley Police and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death .
Authorities had not released a cause of death or the identity of the person as of Sunday night.
News 12 reached out to Ramapo Police Chief Dan Hyman on Sunday for an update. He said that there was no additional information beyond what was included in the department's latest press release. He added, "We ask for your understanding, as our priority is achieving a positive outcome in holding those involved accountable."
Hyman also added that releasing additional details prematurely could jeopardize the integrity of the case.
