A father and son in Roosevelt are facing animal cruelty charges Wednesday for allegedly chaining up and starving three dogs.
Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) officials in Nassau County say they found three mistreated dogs at Orin Green Senior?s home on Hudson Avenue. According to investigators, one dog was emaciated, one dog was injured and one dog was starved to death. They say the dog that starved to death was on a chain that was too short to reach food.
Green and his son, Orin Green Junior, are charged with torturing animals and aggravated cruelty to animals. They face up to four years in prison if convicted. They are set to be arraigned on April 10.
