A ribbon-cutting was held for two new pools at Harry S. Truman High School in Co-op City.

Teams with the city Department of Education have been working hard with the local high school and others across the city to introduce new pools. This comes as a part of the program "Let's Swim NYC," which was launched Tuesday.

The program will use over $1 billion to improve public pools across New York City over the next five years.

Students and school groups will be able to use the pools as well as outside organizations with the proper permits.
