The pickup truck driver who crashed into a limousine in Cutchogue Saturday could soon face upgraded charges.
Steven Romeo is facing DWI charges in the crash that killed four young women.
The district attorney says Romeo admitted to drinking beer before the crash, and walked away from the scene before being brought back by an officer.
"He climbed a fence, a six-foot black fence, to a transfer station on the north side of the westbound lane," says Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota.
Romeo is scheduled to be in court Friday.
Meanwhile, Spota says a witness saw the limo driver turning in front of the truck. Police say limos have been cited for failure to yield right of way while making U-turns in the same area.
