The Town of Southold plans to hold virtual Narcan training classes every day this week after fentanyl-laced cocaine led to another overdose.
Authorities say the tainted drugs are now behind nine overdoses, six of which turned deadly, in the past 12 days as police are still trying to track the source of the drugs.
The virtual Narcan training classes are scheduled for 10 a.m. throughout the week, while an in-person class is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Peconic Recreation Center.
After the training, participants can also get their own Narcan kits by calling the Town of Southold government liaison officer at 631- 765-5806.
Additional information on the virtual classes can be found by visiting the Town of Southold website.
