Visitors who are visiting the Hamptons this holiday weekend may have to skip the beach.

The Town of Southampton extended restrictions to its beaches that were put in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Supervisor Jay Schneiderman extended an emergency order restricting access to town residents and renters.

Fourth of July celebrations on the beach will be for locals only.

All those who visit will need a town permit to park anywhere nearby.
