Parking fees for a popular beach are going down.
As News 12 has reported, last summer the Town of Oyster Bay began charging $60 on weekends to park at Charles Ransom Beach in Bayville.
Merchants complained the fees were scaring away customers.
Last night, the town agreed to lower the parking fees to $10 a day for people without a seasonal permit, according to Newsday.
However, some people still want free parking.
