Hundreds of residents turned out to the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City on Sunday for a Toys for Tots drive.
Tractor-trailers delivered hundreds of toys that will be donated to children.
Exotic and classic cars also came from Glen Cove to help deliver the toys.
Despite the thousands of toys that were donated, Toys for Tots says it is still in desperate need of donations this holiday season.
"We'll probably get 15-20,000 toys today, and that's a lot, but in this economy it's very difficult this year to get the toys in that we need because the need is just so, so great," says Maj. Chuck Kilbride, of Toys for Tots.
