Rainy and wintry conditions cause minimal delays, issues for holiday travelers
Drivers told News 12 that road conditions on Friday were better than they expected, but they’re worried about the possibility of black ice on the road, which could be difficult to see.
“I’m always worried about that. That’s why you have to take it easy and drive 10-15 mph slower,” says Jaime Guzman, a driver in Westchester.
"We're just taking our time, we're not rushing. I know people get a little crazy during the holidays. Slow and steady wins the race,” says Auria Gomez, a holiday traveler.
Drivers and holiday travelers weren’t letting these conditions impact their holiday and weekend travel plans.
“It’s definitely slowed us down a little bit but I think that it’s also part of going upstate,” says Gomez.
