Suffolk and state police arrested three people who were allegedly stealing from people as they exercised. Police believe the suspects stole credit cards from a runner at Sunken Meadow State Park last month, and they may be part of a crime ring that targets joggers. Police say many people will hide their wallets in their cars before jogging. Police say the thieves are watching and when the jogger leaves, they get the keys, find the wallet and remove two or three credit cards. Police say the thieves then replace the wallet so the owner won?t notice anything. Police say the thieves also target people who park at gyms and train stations. The runners say they are relieved to hear about the arrests.
