Thousands of people made their way to Grumman Studios in Bethpage Wednesday to see Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

During his 45-minute address, Trump talked about the need for securing the country's border, which led the crowd to erupt into a chant of "build the wall." He also touched on bringing jobs that have been shipped overseas back to the U.S. and his New York roots, saying it was good to be home.

Trump delivered an anecdote about waking up at 2 a.m. to play golf at the Bethpage course.

The GOP front-runner also discussed tackling the Islamic State group and getting rid of the controversial Common Core tests. His speech was interrupted just once by a protester, who, after having their say, was removed by police without incident.

Two people inside the event were arrested for a "physical altercation," according to Acting Nassau County Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter.

Police had said they would have control of the dynamic and the massive turnout, including hundreds of protesters who made their way to Bethpage. Several hundred uniformed and plainclothes officers were present at the rally.

Trump supporters lined up roughly six hours before he was set to take the stage. Officials set up so-called free speech zones outside Grumman Studios where protesters voiced their opinions.

Streets surrounding the studios were closed for much of the day leading up to the rally and for a couple hours afterward.

New York's primary elections will be held Tuesday, April 19.
