Thousands are expected to descend on Washington, D.C. Saturday to protest the recent Eric Garner grand jury decision.
The Justice for All March is in response to the decision not to indict NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo in Garner's death.
Among the protesters will be about 150 people from the Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport. Pastor Louis Mellini says they felt it was important for the church to be a part of this event.
"For those who are Christians, our mantra is justice and peace," says Mellini. "We've got to make sure we bring a balance. There are some that want to take it in a direction that is not peaceful and we want balance."
Meanwhile on Long Island, there will also be rallies at Islip Town Hall and in Nassau. The Hempstead branch of the NAACP and others are gathering at Hempstead Village Hall. Next Friday, a rally in support of police is being organized at City Hall in Manhattan.
