A Selden grandfather whose molestation conviction was overturned has died.

Thomas Green's attorney tells News 12 his client lost his battle with cancer at Stony Brook University last night.

The 66-year-old was convicted five years ago for molesting several girls in his Selden neighborhood.

The conviction was set aside because district court judge found some of the evidence in the case was fraudulent.
