A Wesleyan grad is giving back to his community every chance he gets.
Jaylen Berry, 24, of Hartford, Connecticut, started the Jaylen D. Berry Foundation as a scholarship for college kids in 2016 while he was still a student at Wesleyan University.
Today, it's grown into a full-fledged foundation that also offers a "mobility grant" to local business owners. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
The requirements are that the business leader must live in or have resided in Connecticut, or is doing work that positively affects the state.
