Parishioners at a Medford church will have to ring in the new year without music after a break-in Thursday.
Pastor Shirley Saunders, Sr., of Feed My Sheep Baptist Church says he found the back door left open just before 10 a.m. According to police, thieves knocked in the door between 6 and 9:30 a.m. and stole an organ-sized keyboard and two speakers. The combined value of the goods tops $7,000.
Police found fingerprints on the doorknob, but say they have yet to match them with a suspect. Saunders claims he and the churchgoers already forgave the culprit or culprits, but they would like to see the keyboard and speakers returned.
