In the 70s and 80s, some of rock's biggest music came from Long Island - including from Billy Joel and his band.
By 2006, the last of the original band members had moved on to other work. Until Oct. 2014, when the Billy Joel Band was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
After that night, Richie Cannata, of Garden City South, Liberty DeVitto, of Seaford, and Russell Javors, of Plainview, decided to play together again - using the name The Lords of 52nd Street.
Cannata was diagnosed with cancer last year - lymphoma - that nearly killed him. He says that his family and his history and future with The Lords of 52nd Street helped his fight.
Now, after a 36-year vacation, The Lords are looking to rock the house at The Space at Westbury on Saturday.
