Stumped about what to get the gadget-lover on your holiday list? Each year News 12's tech reporter Andrew Ehinger digs up some of the most unique and cool tech gifts for the holidays.
In the second part of The Download: Hot for the Holidays, we're featuring iBobber, Tile and StikBot.
Rod and reel-fishing just got a major tech upgrade with the iBobber.
At $99, the iBobber is a tiny, fish-finding sonar device that wirelessly connects to a smartphone. Aside from locating fish, it can also map the sea or lake bed and measure water temperature so you will truly know what's under the surface.
Ever lose your keys? Misplace a remote? The Tile will help you find it. It's a tiny electronic locator that you can attach to just about anything.
Through the special Tile mobile app, you can hunt down your missing item using Bluetooth range-finding or even make the Tile sound an alarm. Prices for the Tile start at $25.
Stop-motion animation is now super easy with StikBot. Using poseable figurines, the StikBot app lets anyone learn how to animate videos on a smartphone. Then with just a few clicks you can add in voices, music and sound effects.
Uploads from the app are easy, so you can show off your hilarious videos on sites like YouTube and Instagram. The StikBot starter studio kit is $15.
