People are expected to hit the skies in record numbers this Thanksgiving holiday, but travel appears to be going smoothly at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

A spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration told News 12 that operations have been normal so far.

There were more delays as the day progressed, but they were still considered minimal.

News 12 spoke with travelers who say the chaos that comes with holiday travel is worth it to be with friends and family.
