If you're trying to gobble up some savings this Thanksgiving and holiday season, a butcher shop in South Toms River says you might want to start shopping early - or try a potluck.
"Nearly every single one of them is more expensive," one customer said at Luigi's Deli. "At least when you come here you see what you're getting," they added.
Luigi DeRiggi, the shop's owner, says they try to beat inflation by sourcing their turkeys from local farms.
But Investopedia warns just by looking at inflation, "nearly every single one of them is more expensive" when it comes to holiday staples.
Prices for turkey and potatoes are both up an average of 17%, while sweet corn and ham are also seeing price increases of 11% and 8% respectively.
