In a perfect world, the Islanders would still be playing for the Stanley Cup, but since they are not, News 12 sports director Kevin Maher had to say goodbye to the cardboard coach we call “Flat" Barry Trotz.

Somehow in the middle of a COVID-19 nightmare, the Islanders brought Stanley Cup dreams to life.  Thanks to Barry the Isles went into the bubble as underdogs and almost came out as big dogs and gave fans a pandemic pick me up.
