The deadly terror attacks in Mumbai have left Long Islanders who have family and friends in India tense and fearful as they anxiously await word from their loved ones.
What was supposed to be a Thanksgiving feast Thursday at the Plainview Sikh Temple turned into an emergency prayer vigil for victims and loved ones.
Many of the faithful at the temple say they have family members and close friends who live in the Mumbai area, where dozens were killed Wednesday and many are still unaccounted for.
?It was very devastating, seeing all those senseless things - very disturbing,? says Arvind Chabra, whose niece was in Mumbai to be with her husband, who is getting cancer treatments.
Temple members say it's too early to say who they think may be to blame for the attack. For now, they plan to concentrate on praying for the victims.
