The union representative for Manhattan Beer Distributors workers says they have reached a tentative deal with management after a two-day strike.
Workers say the strike was over their pensions.
“It will need to be ratified by the members, but our pensions are safe,” says a union representative.
Simon Bergson, founder and CEO of Manhattan Beer Distributors, said in a statment:
“We’re pleased to announce we’ve reached an agreement and the strike is over.”
The strike, which began on Tuesday, had slowed down beer, wine and cider deliveries to bars and bodegas as workers picketed outside various locations, including locations in The Bronx, Long Island and Rockland County.
