Police say five teenagers have been arrested in connection to a slew of street robberies in Garden City, New Hyde Park and Floral Park.
The teens, ages 16 to 18, are charged with robbing at least 10 other kids in four days. Eight of those alleged victims were 15 years old. Police say the suspects stole cash, cell phones and other items after threatening to use a gun against their victims.
Nassau Det. Lt. Raymond Cote says the suspects sought out young victims that they thought would be easy targets.
Police say two of the suspects were already serving five years probation for similar crimes committed in March.
Nassau police are looking for other victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau Crimestoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
