Suffolk firefighters Sunday were forced to battle nine separate fires.One of those blazes was in Commack, where a mentally handicapped teen was injured. The fire happened around 10:30 p.m. on Scholar Lane.Officials say the teen was taken to the hospital after being burned in the fire. According to officials, the injuries do not appear to be life threatening. Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the blaze.Firefighters also battled blazes in Bay Shore, Bohemia, Brookhaven, Deer Park, East Northport, Gordon Heights, Huntington and North Amityville.
