A 19-year-old college student is accused of intentionally driving his Jaguar into a group of four people while drunk outside a Glen Cove bar early Sunday.
Cops say the incident started inside the Soundview Café at the Glen Cove Golf Club around 2:30 a.m. when Sayed Khaled El-Waraky was thrown out of the bar. According to witnesses, El-Waraky made a deliberate U-turn before driving into the four at a high rate of speed. Two bouncers are in critical condition following the accident.
El-Waraky's attorney told a judge Monday that the teen was attacked by a mob, who beat him before smashing his windshield. The judge ordered El-Waraky held without bail.
