(11/19/07) BAY SHORE - Suffolk County Police have arrested a 17-year-old student for possession of a loaded weapon at Bay Shore High School. Police responded to a report Friday of a fight at the school. Apparently the 17-year-old, identified as Tyshaun Smith, had a verbal altercation with another student, but did not display the weapon. Security personnel said the boy was found with a loaded .25-caliber Raven pistol. Smith was charged with criminal possession of a weapon. Investigators were trying to determine how the gun came into Smith's possession.
