In this week's Road Trip Close to Home, it's all about taking a trip down memory lane and diving into experimentation with a look at some of history's greatest failures.
The
Museum of Failure in Brooklyn is a nostalgic exhibit of mishaps. It originated in Sweden and is curated by Dr. Samuel West. It characterizes failures into a number of categories such as innovation, tech, food, transportation and medical. There is even a category called what were they thinking.
You can use the museum's app to watch original ads for products like the Hula Chair. There's also an interactive wall where people are encouraged to share their own failures.
Some of the failed items on display include Crystal Pepsi and Google Glass.
The museum is open every day except Monday.
