Officers say there was a break-in through a back door of a house on Ambrose Avenue Friday night.
News 12 has been told jewelry was taken from a bedroom.
A neighbor alerted police saying he saw a man run through his backyard.
The suspects then entered a neighboring home and took money and jewelry from that household.
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call police.
