Police are searching for the suspect involved in a stabbing near the South Shore Mall in Bay Shore.
Police say a Brentwood man was walking on East Forks Road around 8:30 p.m. Monday when someone approached him and stabbed him with an unknown object.
According to police, the victim was able to escape the stabbing and run to the mall for help.
The victim is listed in stable condition.
