Police are searching for the suspect involved in an Islandia gas station robbery.

According to police, they were called to the Sunoco at Express Drive South near Motor Parkway just after 1 a.m. Police say a man stole cash from the register.

A source at the scene says the man working behind the counter was assaulted with a blunt object. However, police are not confirming that.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
