Police say they have arrested the man behind overnight burglaries at businesses across Suffolk County. 
According to police, the Mount Sinai man targeted specific places and is being charged in 16 cases. 
The suspect has been identified as Robert Cariddi, and police say they caught him trying to commit a burglary at Ho Ming Kitchen on Route 25A in Miller Place. 
Detectives say Cariddi would target Asian restaurants and nail salons with no alarm systems, often breaking the front window of the business overnight. 
In total, police say Cariddi hit 16 stores between August and October in Centereach, Selden, Setauket, Miller Place, Rocky Point, Sound Beach, Patchogue, Bohemia and Middle Island.
