A thief took off with a lot more than cash from a Holtsville convenience store Friday.According to police, the suspect or suspects broke into a deli on Long Island Avenue and ripped the ATM right out of the wall. The deli owner says there was about $5,000 in the machine. The suspect also stole cigarettes and cash from the register. Suffolk police are investigating four or five similar incidents, but do not know if they are related. Meanwhile, the deli owner says he should have the ATM replaced next week and will install security cameras to prevent a future break-in.
