(AP) - The 5-year-old survivor of the wrong-way crashthat killed eight people has begun rehabilitation in New York City.
Leslie Johnson, spokeswoman for St. Mary's Hospital for Childrenin Queens, would not predict how long Bryan Schuler would be there.
Police say Bryan suffered serious head injuries in the July 26crash that killed his mother, his sister and three cousins as wellas three men in another vehicle. He spent 15 days at WestchesterMedical Center in Valhalla.
An autopsy found Diane Schuler of West Babylon was drunk andmarijuana-drugged during the crash on the Taconic Parkway inWestchester County.
State Sen. Charles Fuschillo and Nassau CountyDistrict Attorney Kathleen Rice called Wednesday for harsherpenalties for drunken drivers with child passengers.
