More adults in the U.S. say they are exercising – but at the same time more people are becoming obese, according to a new survey.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s survey says more adults are exercising enough each week to meet government recommendations. In 2017, nearly 24 percent of people surveyed said they met the standards.
The same survey also showed that more adults are obese compared to years past. More than 30 percent of people admitted to being obese last year – a figure that was slightly above the previous survey in 2015.
The results from the survey can be found on the CDC website.
