An emergency, no-bid catering contract awarded during Superstorm Sandy was the focus Tuesday of Mangano-Venditto's federal corruption trial in Central Islip.
Former manager of the Nassau Emergency Operations Center John Maguire testified that he believed former Nassau Executive Ed Mangano was behind a push to give restaurateur Harendra Singh the contract to feed county emergency workers after the 2012 storm.
Singh had not been on the list of three approved vendors.
The trial continues Wednesday.
