SUNY Orange, Kiryas Joel health center possibly targeted in cyberattacks

SUNY Orange confirms a “computer disruption” on Tuesday forced them to take parts of their system offline.

News 12 is learning about two possible cyberattacks that may have compromised information at a college and health center in Orange County.
SUNY Orange confirms a “computer disruption” on Tuesday forced them to take parts of their system offline.
News 12 has also learned about a reported cyberattack last month at the Aizer health center in Kiryas Joel that allegedly left staff without computer access for two weeks, as reported by Shtetl
News 12 reached out to Aizer Health for more information but did not immediately receive a response.
A representative for SUNY Orange says, as of Wednesday, some of their operations are back online and that they’re working to restore on-campus access to other services as quickly as possible.
They say instruction at the college has not been impacted but couldn’t confirm what, if any, information was compromised.
